Registering your details with us
Once you have registered your details with us either by telephone or our website and we have taken some details of what accommodation you are looking for, we will be able to search our database to match your criteria.
We upload properties on to our own website as soon as we accept them on to our books, which are updated on a daily basis therefore keeping you updated with the latest properties. We also advertise properties on leading property portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla, PrimeLocation.com and Gumtree.
Accompanying you on viewings
Once we have matched your details or you have found a property that you would like to view, we will arrange a convenient time and date to meet at the property. We will be able to show you around the property and answer any questions you may have.
All landlords require their tenants to be referenced before moving into a property, this is to see if they will be able to meet the payment requirements. We will take care of all the referencing which involves a detailed check including previous landlords, banks, credit and employment history along with ID verification. If there are any questions as to whether or not a prospective tenant cannot meet the payment requirements we would then source the details of a suitable guarantor to proceed.
Health and safety compliance
We check that all our properties on our books have the correct certification and are compliant with health and safety such as GAS SAFE safety.
We will prepare the tenancy agreements and witness the signing of all required documents.
Transfer of bills
We will assist you in the transfers of all utility bills and council tax.
If you have decided to move into a property that Whites of Bournemouth fully manage, we will conduct a full inventory report which includes a comprehensive HD video detailing the contents and condition of the property prior to you moving in. You will need to keep your copy safe to avoid any confusing at the end of your tenancy, as you can refer back to it.
Move in appointment
Whites of Bournemouth endeavour to accompany all new tenants to the property on the date of their move. We can then personally issue them with keys and answer any final questions they may have.
Managing deposits and rent
We can register the deposits in the government backed DPS scheme (Deposit Protection Service) or TDS (Tenant Deposit Scheme). We typically require a month’s rent plus £100 for the deposit. We will set up a standing order when we arrange the first month rent and review the rents annually with the landlords and tenants.
If your property is fully managed by Whites of Bournemouth we are happy to handle all communication with the tenants to get any issues resolved straight away. We aim to keep all parties happy at all times with a first class customer service approach.
