Marketing your property

Advertising your properties on leading property portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla, and Gumtree at no extra cost to you. We will also upload your properties on to our own website as soon as we accept them on to our books.

Conducting viewings to find suitable tenants

Handle all enquiries regarding your property in order to find you suitable tenants that match your criteria. We will accompany prospective tenants around your property answering any questions they may have.


Handle all negotiations between the prospective tenants and yourself to get you the best price.


Reference all of your prospective tenants. This involves a detailed check including previous landlords, banks, credit and employment history along with ID verification. If there are any questions as to whether or not a prospective tenant cannot meet the payment requirements, we would require a suitable guarantor to proceed.

Tenancy agreements

Prepare the tenancy agreements and witness the signing of all required documents.

Processing any relevant documentation

Ensure all utility and council tax bills are transferred into the liable parties’ names and ensure all administrative needs are met.


Conduct a full inventory report, at an additional cost. The inventory service we offer is a comprehensive HD video, detailing the contents and condition of the property prior to the tenants moving in. This will then be used at the end of the tenancy to see if any deductions are needed. A full inventory report will ensure your property can be maintained at the same standard when the tenants vacate.

Move in appointment

Whites of Bournemouth endeavour to accompany all new tenants to the property on the date of their move. We can then personally issue them with keys and answer any final questions they may have.

Registering deposits

Register the deposits in the government backed DPS scheme (Deposit Protection Service) or TDS (Tenant Deposit Scheme). We typically require one month’s rent plus £100 for the deposit, but we can alter this at the landlord’s request. At the end of the tenancy we will arrange for any deductions from the deposit to be made. The balance will then be forwarded to you.

Rent collections

Set up a standing order with the tenants when we arrange payment for the first month's rent. The landlord will be paid by bank transfer directly into their account and we will provide monthly statements when the rent is processed. The statement will show a breakdown of all income and expenditure for that period. We will review the rents annually with the landlords and tenants.

We will not only provide you with the quotes, but co-ordinate the contractors and the tenants. We will supervise the jobs so that they are completed on time with no hassle to you.

Legal obligations

Organise contractors to carry out: Gas safety, electric safety and energy performance certificates to ensure your property meets all legal obligations.

End of tenancy

At the end of the tenancy, we will arrange release of deposits making any necessary deductions.
